Today we’re going to be talking about taboo sex and what liking it says about you. I want you to buckle up because this one’s a bit of a doozy. So why are we interested in sex taboos? Basically, society tells us that sex is bad, desire is bad, it’s carnal and we’re not supposed to want it. Not supposed to want pleasure, not supposed to want to do things. God forbid you want to do BDSM because that’s very bad.

The more something is taboo, the more society says you’re not supposed to want that, you’re not supposed to be interested in that, the more we want it. It’s just a part of human nature. We want what we can’t have. So when it comes to sex and taboo sex, particularly BDSM and role play and all of that, we want it because it’s so off limits. To go a step further, something that’s actually really interesting, I think, is that when you are really hyper sexually aroused, the part of your brain that registers disgust, stuff like spitting, getting hit, all this and being tied up, these things that you wouldn’t really want in real life and getting pissed on, you wouldn’t want that in real life. But when you’re really, really sexually aroused, you do want that stuff.

Suddenly things that might be disgusting in real life become very erotic and very sexually charged. Basically, what it comes down to when we want taboo sex is that we’re told we’re not supposed to want sex or desire, therefore we want it. And the part of your brain that registers disgust turns off when you’re really turned on and therefore these things come together in beautiful harmony. And that’s what registers interest in BDSM roleplay and sex taboos.

If you enjoyed this kink capsule, please like and subscribe and share.
