Those models are slim, trim, tanned, oiled, and glistening with perfection, without a flaw in sight. You're pale, lopsided, full-figured, have awkward tan lines, and a few freckles and moles here and there. Anybody will feel inadequate if they compare themselves to magazine porn. What's so special about you?

The fact is, even though men are more visually stimulated than women, men know - and so should you! - that those professional models are fake. They're digitally altered so all the flaws are brushed away, extra pounds on the waist are trimmed down, extra inches are added to the bustline, stubble is erased, and so on. Even with the real models themselves, those people live impossibly restrictive lives, having to devote most of it to dieting and exercise. She may look good in pictures, but she'll never be your babymama.

Compare a '60s-era folk-singer on an acoustic guitar to a modern electronic hip-hop singer with autotune. The robot voice may be pitch-perfect, but doesn't the folk-singer sound more human? Similarly, "the girl next-door" has that same kind of appeal over a Madison-Avenue marketing model. So relax and be happy with what nature gave you - you're better-looking than you think!
